Papa New Guinea
Liz Hutton, a missionary with Elim NZ since 1986 is our very own ‘living legend”!
Her stories include:
negotiating a river infested with crocodiles
But she has continued to tirelessly invest into the lives of PNG kids, training hundreds to teach them about following Jesus!
Her vision is to build a training centre for the next generation. Earlier this year they were miraculously able to purchase land and building has began.
PNG Update: “New Generation Children’s Ministry Training Centre”Paul Lupi, of Blenheim Elim is the Project Manager for the building of the training centre which Liz Hutton has been coordinating. Here is his report following a 3 week visit in March 08.
“Progress is well underway with the first building ready for the roof and cladding upstairs. The moment I stepped on to the site I knew that God was there. The faith around the place was tangible!”
Paul also reports that for every dollar being spent there was three dollars worth of work being done.
Work and approximate costs, in NZ dollars, to see the first building completed are as follows:
Sewerage $6,000.00
Electrics $4,000.00
Water $5,000.00
Lining $10,000.00
Concrete floor $10,000.00
Stairways / platforms etc $15,000.00
Total $50,000.00
