Scriptures for New Zealand
A number of Scriptures all centre around phrases like “ends of the earth”, “rising of the sun”, morning dawns”, etc. which, relative to where the words were originally penned, can easily be taken to be New Zealand we are about as far away as you can get, and we are first to see the sun! Psalm 65 and Zechariah 9:10-13 have been particularly relevant.
A Singaporean Pastor informed me that during a forty day fast he felt that New Zealand was to be a springboard to the nations for revival. Loren Cunningham, of YWAM, holds a similar view.
The following scriptures can form the basis of some powerful prophetic declaration during intercession:
Psalms 2:8; 22:27; 48:10; 50:1; 61:2; 65; 67:7; 72:8; 98:3; 113:3.
Isaiah 5:36; 24:16; 40:28; 41:5,9; 42:10; 43:6; 45:6; 45:22; 48:20; 49:1; 49:6; 52:10; 59:19; 62:11.
Jeremiah 16:19-21.
Zechariah 9:10-13.
Acts 1:8.
The Power of Prophetic Declaration:
Isaiah 59:19 From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.
If we understand the “pent-up flood” as the last day outpouring of the Spirit, beginning where the sun rises, and link with this the Lord’s instruction to Ezekiel in the following passage, to “Prophesy to the breath”, then we have quite a part, through prophetic declaration, in releasing revival and restoration.
Ezekiel 37:9-10 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feeta vast army.
Prophetic declaration writing, rather than reading the news in the daily papers!
